LOCATION DETAILS
UNDERSTANDING YOUR DATA

Clarity starts with context.

The map shows individual collected points. The Location areas list groups those points into generated H3 resolution 8 hexagonal cells; these are geographic aggregates, not official neighborhood boundaries. Business/listing names are kept as point details rather than used as the primary area list.

Why do some fields say TBD?

TBD means unavailable in the latest stored record. Country is not stored in the source schema, and we do not infer it from coordinates, addresses, or the dataset's region name. Missing ratings and other details are also shown as TBD.

Location history is observation history. Each timeline entry is a snapshot captured on a crawl. It cannot reconstruct changes before the first observation; first observed is not a real-world opening or creation date.

This is not a complete map census. The collector indexes Google Maps points within the configured boundary. It does not cover every parcel, street segment, administrative polygon, or unnamed feature. “Last observed” is the latest collector observation, not a guarantee the source is current.
